DHCPv6 Release Notes
What Is in This Version
Chapter 18
user-class-id Represents the type or category of the user or client
application.
You can use all the fields applicable to the DHCP_POOL_GROUP section under the
DHCPv6_DEVICE_GROUPS section except the pool_group_name.
❏ DHCP_ADDRESS_POOL – Specifies the DHCPv6 address pool settings.
Following are the tags in the DHCP_ADDRESS_POOL section:
subnet-prefix Specifies the subnet-prefix of the network that the
server manages.
address-pool Specifies the list of start and end address that
constitute the address pool.
reserved-addresses Specifies the list of reserved IPv6 addresses
separated by a space.
❏ RELAY_INTERFACE_MAPPINGS – Specifies the DHCPv6 relay interface mapping
settings.
Following is the tag in the RELAY_INTERFACE_MAPPINGS section:
Interface-ID Represents the interface ID in the hexadecimal binary
format with each byte separated by a colon (:).
For example, you can represent an interface ID
10:24:ab:cd in the hexadecimal format as
3ffe::/64;\.
❏ DHCP_CLIENT_DUID_GROUP – Specifies the DHCPv6 client duid (DHCP Unique
Identifier) group settings.
Following are the tags in the DHCP_CLIENT_DUID_GROUP section:
client-duid Specifies that you can represent the client duid in the hexadecimal
format with each byte separated by a colon (:).
addresses Specifies the list of addresses for the particular duid group.
❏ DHCP_RELAY_SETTINGS – Specifies the DHCPv6 relay settings.
Following are the tags in the DHCP_REALY_SETTINGS section:
pool-group-name Specifies the pool group name as a ASCII string.
subnet-prefix Specifies the IPv6 subnet prefix in the hexadecimal
format. This must be the complete address of the
subnet.
