-e Specifies the vendor’s enterprise number as registered with Internet
Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). You can use this number in the
vendor-class and vendor-specific options to communicate with the server.
-u Specifies the user-class data used to represent the client in its
communication with the server.
-v Specifies the vendor-class data that is used in the client’s
communication with a server.
• The parameters dns_sa, nis_sa, and nisp_sa of the -d configuration option, now enable
you to obtain a list of one or more IPv6 addresses of DNS servers to which a client’s DNS
resolver can send DNS queries.
• The following configuration parameters are added:
sip_sa Obtains the list of IPv6 addresses that indicate SIP outbound proxy
servers available to the client.
sip_dl Obtains the domain names of the SIP outbound proxy servers that the
client can use.
Table 1-2 lists the modified configuration parameters of the -o option.
These modified parameters enable you to specify a list of domain names unlike the old
parameter names, which enable you to specify only a single domain name.
The /usr/sbin/dhcpv6d Daemon
The following are the changes in the /usr/sbin/dhcpv6d daemon:
• Following are new sections in the /etc/dhcpv6tab configuration file:
❏ DHCP_DEVICE_GROUPS – Specifies the DHCPv6 device group settings.
