What Is in This Version
Following are the new features that DHCPv6 2.001 offers:
In order for DHCPv6 2.001 to comply with RFC 3315, certain tags and parameters in the
following DHCPv6 2.001 utilities and daemon are added or modified:
The /usr/bin/dhcpv6client_ui utility
The /usr/sbin/dhcpv6clientd daemon
The /usr/sbin/dhcpv6d daemon
The /usr/bin/dhcpv6db2conf utility
DHCPv6 2.001 allows you to configure multiple address groups under a single pool group;
but, in DHCPv6 1.001, you could configure only one address pool in a pool group.
Therefore, you can specify multiple DHCP_ADDRESS_POOL settings for a single
DHCP_POOL_GROUP in the /etc/dhcpv6tab file. You must move the tags
address-pool, subnet-prefix, and reserved-addresses from the
DHCP_POOL_GROUP section to the DHCP_ADDRESS_POOL section. For more information,
see “Migrating from DHCPv6 1.001 to DHCPv6 2.001” on page 16.
IMPORTANT If you are new to DHCPv6 2.001, HP recommends that you read the manual
Installing and Administering DHCPv6 2.001 available at
http://www.docs.hp.com. This manual describes the key features and
benefits that DHCPv6 2.001 offers. It also describes how to configure and
troubleshoot DHCPv6 2.001.
The subsequent sections discuss the tags and parameters that are new and modified in the
DHCPv6 2.001 utilities and daemon.
The /usr/bin/dhcpv6client_ui Utility

The following new options are added:
