Changed Features
The following lists the changed features in BIND 8.1.2:
• In the earlier versions, the BIND configuration file was
/etc/named.boot whereas starting from BIND 8.1.2 the
configuration file has been renamed as /etc/named.conf.
• The old configuration file syntax consisted of single lines, each
describing a zone or an option. The new syntax is flexible and allows
you to easily specify different features.
