Installing Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0509.1

To store and manage AutoFS maps in an LDAP directory on HP-UX 11i v1, you must install

Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0509.1 along with the LDAP-UX Integration product B.04.00 on

your client systems.

Perform the following steps to install Enhanced AutoFS:

Step 1. Go to the following web site:

http://h20293.www2.hp.com

Search for Enhanced AutoFS

Step 2. Click on the Enhanced AutoFS link on the product catalog web page.

Step 3. Click on the Receive for free button.

Step 4. Select HP-UX 11iv1 version B.11.11.0509.1 in the software specification

box and ﬁll out all of the required information, then click on the Next button.

Step 5. Click on the ENHAUTO B.11.11.0509.1_HP-UX_B.11.11_32+64.depot link in the

download software box to download this product.

Step 6. Download the software depot ﬁle to the /tmp directory:

/tmp/B.11.11.0509.1_HP-UX_B.11.11_32+64.depot

Step 7. Run swinstall to install Enhanced AutoFS as follows:

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s \

/tmp/B.11.11.0509.1_HP-UX_B.11.11_32+64.depot

NOTE Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0509.1 contains a kernel product. Thus swinstalling

the product will cause a system reboot after installation is complete.

Verifying Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0509.1 Installation

You can verify the Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0509.1 installation as follows:

• To verify that Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0509.1 is successfully installed, run the following

command:

swlist -l bundle ENHAUTO
