CHANGES YOU CAN MAKE
You can use WLS-SPI templates with no customization, or you can change them
as you find necessary. Minor modifications and major customizations are listed
here:
Modification of Default Templates: Within a template you can change the
default settings for (1) collection interval, (2) threshold, (3) message text,
(4) duration (5) severity level of the condition, (6) actions assigned to the
condition (operator-initiated or automatic).
Creation of Custom Template Groups: Create custom template groups, using
default templates as a starting point. To do this, see Chapter 3.
Custom Metrics: The ability to define your own metrics or user-definable
metrics (UDMs) is a powerful feature that you can use to expand the monitoring
capabilities of WLS-SPI. Instructions are available in Chapter 5.
