Read Before Installing Support Plus HP-UX 11i Version 1, September 2003

You can get information on the ISEE software on docs.hp.com,

and install the ISEE Platform bundle from the HPUXAuxTools

directory on the Support Plus media.

For those customers that need the Predictive patch for their

servers, please obtain PHSS_29457 for HP-UX 11iv1 from the

HP IT Resource Center (ITRC):

Starting with the Support Plus release for September 2003, the

HP Predictive software is no longer delivered in the OnlineDiags

bundle. Note that Predictive support on HP-UX servers will end

on March 31, 2004.

Before installing the September 2003 Diagnostics, perform the

following commands to determine if Predictive software is

currently enabled on your system:

1. Log in as root.

2. Issue the command:

'grep -i predictive= /etc/rc.config.d/ \

predictive'

Note that you are searching the file '/etc/rc.config.d/predic-

tive' for the string 'predictive=' ignoring uppercase/lowercase

distinctions using the grep command.
