Read Before Installing Support Plus HP-UX 11i Version 1, September 2003

- Observe that only systems with more than 128GB of physi-

cal memory are affected. Systems with memory upto 128GB of

physical memory are not affected.

- If the system successfully boots with patch PHKL_27808

installed then there is no need to remove the patch as this

suggests that the system has no more than 128GB of physi-

cal memory. Should memory need to be added and the new

total of physical memory will exceed 128GB then patch

PHKL_27808 must be removed first.

- The previous patch, PHKL_25886, does not exhibit this

same behavior. To ensure as many issues as possible are

addressed, HP recommends that PHKL_25886 be installed

after PHKL_27808 is removed. If PHKL_25886 was installed

prior to PHKL_27808 it will automatically be restored when

PHKL_27808 is removed and it will not need to be rein-

stalled.

- This behavior will be corrected in patch PHKL_29527,

expected to be available by the beginning of October 2003.

HP recommends that PHKL_29527 be installed after

PHKL_27808 is removed.
