HP-UX 11i v2 Control Files Included in HP-UX 11i v1 December
2006 Release
Some HP-UX 11i v2 control files were inadvertently included in
the December 2006 release of HP-UX 11i v1. Because of this, the
following error messages can occur if customers use swinstall
(1M) to update to HP-UX 11i v1 for December 2006 on systems
running the Minimal Technical Operating Environment (MTOE)
or the Technical Computing Operating Environment (TCOE).
• Users trying to update to HP-UX 11i V1 December 2006
MTOE from an earlier MTOE may see the following error
message:
ERROR: The Minimal Technical OE is not
supported on 11.23 PA systems
• Users trying to update to HP-UX 11i v1 December 2006
TCOE from an earlier MTOE may see the following error
message:
ERROR: PA workstations are not supported on
11.23
