What is MtIOscan11i
MtIOscan11i is a product that contains kernel support features for multi-threaded
ioscan capability. This product provides the support by enabling multi-threading in the
boot stage, much before IO discovery. This allows the system to perform the device
discovery operation in a parallel fashion. This reduces the amount of time spent in
device discovery and hence results in a significant improvement in the system boot time.
The boot time improvement is significant in the systems with large device configurations
where a considerable fraction of boot is spent in device discovery.
