This product provides the support by enabling multi-threading in the boot stage, much before IO discovery. This allows the system to perform the device discovery operation in a parallel fashion.

MtIOscan11i Product Note Known Problems and Workarounds Known Problems and Workarounds The MtIOScan11i bundle contains a warned LVM patch (PHKL_30622). A superseding patch (PHKL_30697) corrects the behaviour that affects logical volumes with greater than or equal to 65536 physical extents. This patch will be released soon. Run swremove command to remove the product. # swremove -x autoreboot=true MtIOscan This removes the core functionality of the feature, but leaves the bundle wrapper and patches on your system. Removal of the patches that were included with the feature bundle is not recommended. Therefore, we advise you NOT to remove the patches from your system. NOTE Chapter 1 MtIOscan11i contains a kernel product.
