HP-UX Server Enablement Matrix, HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11)
1 Introduction
The Server Enablement Matrices provide information on each HP-UX 11i Version 1 (B.11.11) release that includes new
hardware support for servers and I/O adapters. Each HP-UX 11i v1 Operating Environment (OE) release delivers
cumulative support in the Hardware Enablement (HWE) components for the core and add-on hardware supported with
HP servers.
These HWE components include the following HP-UX bundles:
• HWEnable11i patch bundle
• Diagnostics (in the OnlineDiag bundle) with these products:
• Event Management Services (EMS) hardware monitors
• HP LIF LOAD Tools (copies offline diagnostics to boot disk)
• HP-UX Contributed Tools
• HP-UX Support Tools Manager (including device firmware (FW) update tool)
• • I/O driver bundles (Only always-installed bundles are listed)
• FDDI-00
• FibrChanl-00
• FibrChanl-01
• GigEther-00
• GigEther-01
• IEther-00
• RAID-01
• scsiU320-00
• Ignite-UX (B5725AA bundle)
HWE components can be installed on existing HP-UX systems by selecting the HWEnable11i bundle, applicable I/O
driver bundles, the OnlineDiag bundle, and Ignite-UX (for boot support). These components can provide minimal
support of new hardware products, including processor upgrades and new I/O adapters.
NOTE: Because it contains important defect-fix patches, HP highly recommends that you install the latest available
Quality Pack (QPK) patch bundle on all HP-UX systems.
