This section lists known problems and workarounds in this release of HP-UX Compressed

Uncompressed Dumps on Machines with Virtual Partitions

On a machine with virtual partitions (vPars) running, the dump taken by issuing a TOC from

GSP may not be compressed even if there are ﬁve or more CPUs. The following message is

displayed.

*** Recursive crash.

*** Dump defaulting to sequential without compression

The dump will be uncompressed in this case.
