Sendmail 8.11.1

Sendmail is an electronic mail transport agent, which can be used to send messages to

one or more recipients, routing the message over whatever networks are necessary.

Summary of Change

The HP-UX 11i v1.6 release introduces Sendmail 8.11.1. Sendmail 8.11.1 supports the

following new features:

• Multiple queue directories

• Enhanced mail status codes for messages

• DaemonPortOptions to customize the daemon’s SMTP service

• ClientPortOptions to customize outgoing connections

• Spam control using Message Submission Agent (MSA - RFC 2476)

• SMTP authentication using the SMTP AUTH command

•Virtual hosting
