Updating to HP-UX 11i v1
Reviewing the Update Process

NOTE If you attempt to update from this release to an earlier HP-UX 11i v1
release, the update process will stop and you will get the following
message:
ERROR: You are attempting to update from your release of
HP-UX to a version of HP-UX that was released earlier in
time. This is not supported. The update process has stopped
without making any changes to your system. Please see the
'Supported Update Paths' section of the HP-UX 11i
Installation and Update Guide for more information.
What To Do
HP supports the following HP-UX 11i v1 cold-install and update paths
for this release:
• You can cold-install the December 2006 HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11)
release.
• You can update from a release of HP-UX 11i v1 prior to the current
release of HP-UX 11i v1.
