Error When Installing
or Removing Volume
Manager 3.5 Patch
PHCO_30730
If you attempt to remove the Volume Manager 3.5 Patch
PHCO_30730 from your HP-UX 11i v1 system, the following
warning message is displayed:
WARNING: Cannot delete the definition for
"/opt/VRTSob/bin/vxsvcctrl.sh" from the fileset
"VRTSob.VEAS-FILESET". The file does not exist in
this fileset.
ERROR: The selected software was not modified.
All of the specified file modifications are
invalid. See the ERROR and/orWARNING messages
above.
NOTE: End of command output. Non-zero exit
status may or may not be a failure. Look for
additional messages.
ERROR: The swmodify command failed for
VRTSob.VEAS-FILESET,l=/,r=3.0.2.261a,a=HP-UX_B.11.
11_32/64,v=HP,fr=3.0.2.261a,fa=HP-UX_B.11.11_32/64
The configuration process will proceed.
ERROR: Rebuilding the Installed Products Database
has failed. You may need to retry this operation.
What To Do
To resolve this problem, run the following command:
# cp /opt/VRTSob/sbin/veaservice
/etc/rc.config.d/veaservice
“Unable to unload
driver” Error During
Update
When updating your system to the HP-UX 11i v1 December
2006 release, you may encounter the following message in the
syslog/dmesg file:
insf: Unable to unload the driver: pfil
What To Do
You can safely ignore this message.
