HP WBEM Services for HP-UX
Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) (http://www.dmtf.org/) is a platform-
and resource-independent Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) standard that
defines both a common model (i.e., description) and protocol (i.e., interface) for
monitoring and controlling a diverse set of resources.
The HP WBEM Services for HP-UX product is the HP-UX implementation of the DMTF
WBEM standard. Version A.02.00.07 is currently being released.
This product is based on The Open Group (TOG) Pegasus Open Source Software (OSS)
project (http://www.openpegasus.org/).
Summary of Change
In addition to numerous defect fixes, version A.02.00.07 of HP WBEM Services for
HP-UX introduces support for CIM Process Indications as defined by the DMTF WBEM
Specification.
Impact
There is no significant change with the exception of access to the new feature listed
above.
Compatibility
There are no known compatibility issues. All well-behaved WBEM clients and providers
compiled with previous releases of HP WBEM Services for HP-UX are expected to
interoperate with this new version.
Performance
There are no significant performance changes with this release of the product.
