Impact
If the PROCSETS bundle version A.01.00.00.06 is already installed on your system, it can
be superseded with this new bundle, version A.01.00.00.07. If the old version is not
installed, this new version can directly be installed. This new bundle version will help
you avoid potential problems while trying to install kernel patches PHKL_30032,
PHKL_30033, PHKL_30034, PHKL_30035, PHKL_30037 or their superseding patches.
The bundle ensures that the necessary patch to the Processor Sets product is also
installed when these patches are installed. You could see a potential patch install failure
or a run-time panic if the patch dependencies for these patches are not met correctly
when using the Processor Sets product.
Compatibility
There are no known compatibility issues.
Performance
The new kernel patches in this bundle will potentially improve the performance in HP
Process Resource Manager (PRM)
1
or HP-UX Workload Manager (WLM)
2
environments.
There will be no performance degradation as a result of installing or upgrading to this
new version.
