Overview of the HP-UX 11i Release

• HP-UX 11i Enterprise OE which contains the HP-UX 11i OE and
additional applications to enable an enterprise-level server. Products
include OnLineJFS 3.3, GlancePlus, MirrorDisk/UX, and other
applications.
• HP-UX 11i Mission Critical OE which contains both the HP-UX 11i
OE and the HP-UX 11i Enterprise OE plus applications to enable a
mission-critical server, such as MC/ServiceGuard and Workload
Manager.
All products included with each OE are described in Chapter 4. Some
applications may require post-installation configuration; see the HP-UX
11i Installation and Update Guide, part no. B2355-90703, for details.
For HP 9000 Technical Workstations and Technical Servers
The following is the 11i Operating Environment available for HP 9000
technical workstations and technical servers:
• HP-UX 11i Technical Computing OE which contains the HP-UX 11i
OE and additional applications to enable a technical workstation or
technical server. The other OEs listed above are all supported on
technical servers only and not on technical workstations.
