• Perl updated to version 5.8.0 with better Unicode support, new IO and thread
implementation, better numeric accuracy, and other enhancements. (See “Perl

• Plug-in (JPI) for the Java 2 Platform versions 1.3 and 1.4 only will be installed. (See
