SCSI Interface Driver scsi_c720
The following changes are available for the Small Computer System
Interface (SCSI) on the platforms mentioned below:
Added support for the Dual Port UltraII Symbios SCSI Host Bus
Adapter (HBA), also referred to as the “SCSI controller” on the N4000
and the A400 and A500. The A180 and A180C, B-, C-, and J-Class
models/systems can use this card. However, the HBA is not officially
supported on these platforms. This card will not work on the V-Class
server.
Ability to set the SCSI ID's and synchronous transfer rates of the PCI
SCSI cards on N-, V-, and A-Class machines from the Boot Console
Handler (BCH) with a simple command. See the help menu at the
BCH prompt for more information.

Changing SCSI Speeds
You need to be aware of the device limitations before changing SCSI
speeds for HBA's. A common mistake is to set an HBA to Ultra Speeds
and connect it to a JBOD (Just a Bunch of Disks). The disks may be able
to support Ultra, but the cabinet itself may only be FAST compliant
resulting in problems with the SCSI BUS. Cable types and length
criteria change when using higher rates. With the new speed capabilities
it is important to consult the SCSI specification before changing HBA
speeds so that the SCSI BUS configurations are valid.
