Fibre Channel Tachlite Driver (updated for June
2001)
This latest version of the HP-UX 11i Tachlite driver is B.11.11.06. It is
an updated version of the 11i driver for the A5158A PCI Tachyon TL host
bus adapter and the A6684A and A6685A HSC Tachlite adapters.
The B.11.11.06 driver allows customers running HP-UX 11i to connect to
a fabric, interconnecting Fibre Channel hosts, switch ports, and devices.
This version also enables the HSC Tachlite adapters, A6684A and
A6685A used in the K-, R- and D-Class servers.
Summary of Changes
Tachlite B.11.11.06 offers the following features:
• Fabric zoning and cascading
• Fabric boot and dump for supported platforms (PCI A5158A only.
Boot support is not available for the HCS A6684A and A6685A
adapters at this time)
• Supported configurations
— Arbitrated private loop
— Direct fabric attachment
— QuickLoop (translative mode)
— Public Loop
The use of fabric provides the user with greater connectivity and
improved reliability.
