PAM-Requisite
The PAM-Requisite product, version 11.11.01, enables PAM to recognize and support the
requisite flag in the /etc/pam.conf file.
NOTE PAM-Requisite is available on the Software Pack (SPK) media for December 2006. For
more information about SPK, see “Software Pack (Optional HP-UX 11i v1 Core
Enhancements)” on page 33.
Summary of Change
The PAM-Requisite product adds a new feature to PAM. This feature allows the
requisite flag to be specified in the /etc/pam.conf file.
Impact
You can specify the requisite flag in the /etc/pam.conf file. The requisite flag causes
PAM to return immediately if a service module returns a failure.
Compatibility
Without this product installed, the use of the requisite flag causes an error to be reported
and the PAM service module that was specified with the requisite flag to be skipped.
Performance
This product has a negligible effect on the performance of PAM.

The pam.conf (4) manpage contains information on the usage of the requisite flag.
