version control A feature that checks the versions of HP operating system drivers,

HP Systems Insight Manager Agents, HP utilities, and firmware

on the user's system. It compares them with the Version Control

Database (VCDB) of current software and firmware versions.

Version control then indicates that the software is up to date or

that an upgrade is available and provides reasons for upgrading.

Version information appears as a system link for a system.
