Choosing an Installation Process
After completing the pre-installation steps described in the previous section, you are
ready to install HP ISEE software on your HP-UX Clients.
The ISEE HP-UX Client installation process has two variations:
• “Installing or Upgrading an Individual HP-UX Client” on page 53
• “Pre-Configuring and Installing Multiple HP-UX 11.x Clients” on page 54
If you are installing a small number of Clients, you may prefer the “Installing or
Upgrading an Individual HP-UX Client” instructions on page 53.
If you have an existing software distribution mechanism, you can place the ISEE HP-UX
11.x software in a Client package on a Depot Server and use your current distribution
mechanism to install and configure HP ISEE on your Monitored Clients. To create a
pre-configured Depot for the multi-client installation process, proceed
to“Pre-Configuring and Installing Multiple HP-UX 11.x Clients” on page 54.
