Activating multiple core processors
Instant Capacity multiple core processors such as the PA-8900 dual processors (as well as multiple
processor modules such as the Intel® Itanium®-based mx2) are activated on a single-core basis. This
configuration gives maximum granularity for the addition of Instant Capacity compute power, one
core at a time.
