8. Test the operation of application software when iCAP processors are activated and deactivated.

To add additional iCAP components to an installed iCAP system:

1. Order the add-on products along with the add-on installation. (Some product numbers for field

installation might be different than for factory installation. Contact an HP sales representative for

actual product numbers to be ordered.)

2. The HP Customer Engineer (CE) installs the add-on hardware.

3. The CE enters an “add-on codeword” to allow activation of these new add-on components.

4. If iCAP processors have been installed, go to the Utility Pricing Solutions portal and obtain the

codewords for the IAC.

Technology upgrades

If you want to upgrade your iCAP components to newer technology (for example, upgrading from

875-MHz processors to 1.1-GHz processors), you can return the existing iCAP components and

obtain a credit, which is applied to the purchase of the new components. Contact an HP sales

representative for more information on technology upgrades and return credits.
