Installing HP Distributed Print Service

Conﬁguring DCE Components

If HPDPS is to be executed in the DCE Extended Environment, the DCE

Security Server and DCE Cell Directory Server must be installed and a

DCE cell conﬁgured.

Use the DCE documentation to do the following:

• Check that current state of your DCE conﬁguration is complete.

• Ensure that DCE components are running.

• Conﬁgure the DCE servers for the cell.

• Conﬁgure the Security Server services.

• Conﬁgure the Cell Directory Server (CDS).

• Conﬁgure the Distributed Time Service (DTS) Server.

• Add the cell administrator password to the keytabs ﬁle.

• Conﬁgure the DCE clients in the cell if the system on which you are

currently installing HPDPS will not be designated as a DCE server.
