You use the values for the logical printer

supported attributes, such
as maximum-copies-supported and sides-supported, to restrict the
availability of capabilities and features. When a user submits a job, the
spooler validates the values of the job and document attributes against
the values of the logical printer

supported attributes. If a job or
document attribute has a specific, non-blank value, the corresponding
logical printer attribute, if it has a value or values, must support the job
or document attribute value. Discrete values must match and numeric
values must satisfy some type of limit or range. By default, none of the
