The printer model files support a wide variety of options, such as font
selection and page control. Consult the model file which is installed in
/usr/lib/lp/model for more details.
Typically, the following model files are used for Asian printers:
Simple Test
LANG=ja_JP.eucJP
export LANG
date | lp -oja_JP.eucJP -dprinter_name
zh_TW.utf8 Traditional Chinese/UTF8
zh_HK.big5 Traditional Chinese/BIG5
