New Features in HP-UX Secure Shell
A.04.30.014 and A.04.30.015
HP-UX Secure Shell A.04.30.014 and A.04.30.015 includes the following
new features:
Modified chroot Script
The chroot script is modified and the permissions to the user’s home
directory is set to 700 instead of 755. This feature enhances security by
preventing other chroot users from getting read access to the user’s
home directory.
Enhancements to Standard Mode Security Extensions
The Standard Mode Security Extensions (SMSE) feature is now
enhanced. The enhanced SMSE enables you to use security attributes on
a per-user basis overriding systemwide defaults. You can use SMSE to
enable the “Audit all users and events on a system” feature (which is a
trusted mode feature). Additional defect fixes are also implemented to
enable auditing of ssh logins and events in SMSE mode.
