Introduction
This chapter provides specific information on preparing the network
configuration file when HDLC.FRAME is to be used.
ThepartsofthenetworkconfigurationfilerelevanttoHDLC.FRAME
are:
• Interface definitions
• Port definitions
• Terminal definitions
Interface Definitions
Any card with HDLC.FRAME terminals configured, must have an
interface definition line in the network configuration file. This serves to
associate a card (or mux) number with the physical location of t he card in
the machine, and also specifies the firmware to be downloaded (one file
only) to the card when it is started up.
A few sample interface definitions are as follows:
Z7200A 00 0:4 /opt/acc/z7200a/loopback.zabs
The “z7200a” part will be different depending on the ACC card used. It
should be set to “z7400a” for EISA cards, for example.
