Overview In many environments, the administrator password must be changed for security reasons. When the password is changed, several additional steps are needed in order for the Insight Software components to fully recognize this change and properly operate. Step 1 Update Insight Software Services logon credentials Note Perform the following steps after changing the password of the Operating System account that is configured to work with Systems Insight Manager.

To make this change, complete the following steps. 1. In the Deployment Server console, select Tools from the menu and choose the PXE configuration utility. 2. Highlight a PXE configuration and click Edit. 3.

Select Tools  Options  Domain Accounts  Properties from the menu in the Deployment Server console. Individual jobs If any jobs were set to have specific user account settings when deploying software or running scripts, jobs must be individually modified. Console Security If you have implemented DS console security and your system is not integrated with NT or AD security groups, the account information must be modified manually. Select Tools  Security from the menu in the Deployment Server console.

c. If you are not changing the domain name, verify that the domain= parameter contains the correct value. The resulting line is: hibernate.connection.url=jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://: /oo;domain= d. If you are changing from a domain account to workgroup, remove the domain= parameter. The resulting line is: hibernate.connection.url=jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://: /oo 2.

. Make sure that the RSCentral service is running with the correct user credentials. a. Open Operations Orchestration Central (web portal) at: https://localhost:16443/PAS/ b. Log in as the “admin” user and enter the old (unchanged) password. 8. Select the Administration tab and change the password for the “admin” user. The new admin password must match the oo.admin.password specified in Step 3, Update Insight Software credentials. Step 5 Restart the services If you are using Insight Software 6.

To log in to HP Systems Insight Manager, select Tools  Insight Orchestration…. 8 o Select Tools  Insight Orchestration… to login to HP Systems Insight Manager. o Select the Software tab and then click Click to refresh software resources. o Select the Network tab and then click Click to refresh network resources. o Select the Server tab and then click Click to refresh server resources.
