Each certificate is represented on a separate row under the Licensed System(s) section and the license
category for the row appears as duration license and assigned duration license for active and inactive
certificates respectively.
After the initial certificate expires, the second certificate moves from assigned to locked mode. The
messages displayed for expired and newly locked certificate are expired duration license and duration
license respectively.
For products where licensing information is managed by HP SIM the Assigning Licenses page appears.
This page lists the selected system's name, serial number, licensing status, operating system, system
type, system IP address, and tool launch ok. Select one or more systems from this list and click Assign
License Now. The page refreshes and shows the updated license status. Select additional systems to
make more assignments, or reselect License Manager to refresh the page. To remove an assigned
license, reselect Manage Licenses, the license category, and then select Un-Assign Licenses.
Un-assigning a Duration license
1. Select Deploy→License Manager.
2. Select a product, and then click Manage Licenses. The Manage Licenses section appears.
NOTE: The license manager screen is the single location for applying licenses to systems managed
by HP SIM that require licensing. This screen replaces the separate licensing screens for HP Insight
Control Environment, HP Insight Dynamics - VSE, and VSE Management Software that were present in
previous versions.
3. Select the License Category you want to un-assign. If licenses were assigned using this category,
Un-assign Licenses is available. Click Un-assign Licenses. The Un-assign Licenses section
appears.
The Un-Assign Licenses table is refreshed and shows the updated status.
The Un-Assign License table displays certificates that are assigned (but not locked). If multiple certificates
are assigned for the same system, that is represented by multiple rows for each assigned certificate.
