HP Systems Insight Manager 6.0 Installation and Configuration Guide for Microsoft Windows

The following installation options are available:
Typical Select this option to install the included components with minimal user interaction listed
under the Available Components for Install.
If a component is listed as not available for installation on the CMS, then the Systems Insight
Manager install shell has determined one of the following:
The installation prerequisites for the component have not been met.
A newer version of the component is currently installed.
If the component that is present on the CMS is an older version than what is bundled with the
Systems Insight Manager install shell and it supports an in-place upgrade, it appears in the
component list.
Custom Select this option to select the individual components under the Available Components
for Install and configure them during installation.
Typical install
NOTE: The Remote Support Software Manager is necessary to access the HP Insight Remote Support
Advanced software. a software solution comprised of multiple software applications working collectively to
monitor managed systems, detect events, and transmit the data to HP for analysis. The first required application
is the Remote Support Software Manager, which is downloaded through the HP Insight Remote Support
Advanced products shortcut that will installed on your desktop.
Insight Remote Support Advanced is available in a comprehensive package at www.software.hp.com.
1. Click Next, the Service Account Credentials window appears. The Domain and User name fields
default to the installing account credentials and these fields can be edited.
