HP SVA V2.1 System Administration Guide
Table 1-5 User Configuration File: Tag Definitions for the SVA_JOB Section (continued)
DefinitionTags within Section
The name of the node on which the master component of
an application runs.
This tag value is set in the Job Settings File during job
allocation. When set in the User Configuration File, it
specifies where the DMX server runs and where the
application main program runs.
The execution host value must be the name of one of the
hosts allocated to a job. If the value is not set in the User
Configuration File, it defaults to the execution host
specified for the job Display Surface.
SVA_EXECUTION_HOST
The number of render nodes requested for a job.
SVA_RENDER_COUNT
2
The number of compute nodes requested for a job.
SVA_COMPUTE_COUNT
2
Indicates whether or not DMX is used for a job.
SVA_USE_DMX
1
The name of the node from which keyboard and mouse
input comes. If not specified, this defaults to the first
display node.
SVA_DMX_INPUT
The name of the node on which XDMX runs. XDMX
requires little overhead. It can run on any node; however,
it is better to use job resources. If not specified, the tag
value defaults to the first display node.
SVA_DMX_STARTUP
Indicates whether or not HP Remote Graphics Software
is used for a job.
SVA_USE_REMOTE3D
1
Provides a means to supply options to the X Servers. The
Site Configuration value is set by running the
svaconfigure utility or by a root user with an
svaputdata call.
For example, SVA_X_OPTIONS="-ac".
SVA_X_OPTIONS
1
Defines the default tile resolution (pixel height and width)
within a display block for a Display Surface. Typically
this defaults to the natural size for the X display, for
example, 1280x1024. This value or that specified from a
job launch script takes precedence over the site-wide
cluster default.
This value is passed to the X Server when it starts for a
job.
SVA_TILE_GEOMETRY
1
Turns the X cursor on or off on display nodes.
A value of 0 sets the cursor to appear on nodes. A value
of 1 sets the cursor not to appear on nodes.
SVA_UNCLUTTER

1 This tag is also defined in the Site Configuration File.
2 This tag is also defined in the Job Settings File.
