HP SVA V2.1 System Administration Guide
Table 1-4 Site Configuration File: Section/Tag Definitions
DefinitionTags within INSTANCEINSTANCE
The role of the host; that is, render or
display.
For this tag and section, the value is
always set to DISPLAY.
SVA_ROLE
1
[host_name]
Each display and render host is listed.
For each display node, it is listed with
its specific role, tile number,
orientation, and external name.
For each render node with external
NICs, it is listed with its specific role
and external name.
The number of display devices
attached to the display node. A value
of 1 indicates one display device. A
value of 2 indicates two display
devices.
SVA_NUM_TILES
1
Display nodes only.
Indicates that the tiles attached to a
single display node are arranged
horizontally (value equals
.horizontal), vertically (value
equals .vertical) or in an n x n
arrangement of four tiles only (value
equals .square). Set this value to an
empty string if there is only one tile for
the display node.
SVA_TILE_ORIENTATION
1
Display nodes only.
The fully qualified domain name of
the host external address, if it has one.
SVA_EXTERNAL_NAME
1 This tag can also be defined in the Job Settings File.
1.1.4.3 User Configuration Section and Tag Entries
Table 1-5 defines the available sections and their associated tags in the User Configuration File.
Table 1-5 User Configuration File: Tag Definitions for the SVA_JOB Section
DefinitionTags within Section
SVA_JOB
Declares default settings for all jobs.
Provides a means to supply options to the SVA job
allocator. These options affect its choice of nodes.
More than one option can be used by separating the
options with a space. Options include:
--matchgpucount: Forces the job resource allocator to
select only render nodes containing the same number of
GPUs required to support each display block in the
Display Surface. A three- or four-tile display block then
requires render nodes with two GPUs. If there are not
enough of those nodes, the job does not start. Without
this option, the job resource allocator may select render
nodes with four GPUs.
--onlyrender: During an RGS job, do not select display
nodes for use unless asked for one specifically.
SVA_ALLOCATOR_OPTIONS
The name of a Display Surface to use for a job when no
Display Surface is specified in the job script options.
SVA_DISPLAY_SURFACE
The name of the SLURM partition from which to request
resources. Refer to the HP XC documentation for more
information on SLURM.
