HP SVA V2.1 System Administration Guide

Table 1-2 Site Configuration File: Section/Tag Definitions
DefinitionTag within SectionSection
The name of the cluster. This can be set by the
site administrator using the svaconfigure
utility. It defaults to the external node name of
the head node.
Identifies cluster-specific user configuration
files when using svagetdata calls.
SVA_CLUSTER_NAME[SVA_CLUSTER]
Defines default site
settings for the session.
This section appears in the
Site Configuration File
only.
All available supported resolutions for which
X Configuration properties are defined. Applies
to monographic display hardware, for example,
monitors.
You can add to this list, with suitable changes
to the Monitor Properties Files located in
/hptc_cluster/sva/etc/X11/templates/monitors.
SVA_SUPPORTED_RESOLUTIONS
All available supported resolutions for which
X Configuration properties are defined. Applies
to stereographic display hardware, for
example, stereo monitors and projectors.
You can add to this list, with suitable changes
to the Monitor Properties Files located in
/hptc_cluster/sva/etc/X11/templates/monitors.
SVA_SUPPORTED_STEREO_RESOLUTIONS
Indicates that the tiles attached to a single
display node are arranged horizontally (value
equals .horizontal), vertically (value equals
.vertical) or in an n x n arrangement of four
tiles only (value equals .square). Set this
value to an empty string if there is only one tile
for the display node.
SVA_TILE_ORIENTATION
1
Display nodes only.
Defines the default tile resolution (pixel height
and width) within a display block for all
Display Surfaces within the cluster. Typically
this defaults to the natural size for the X
display. However, the value specified in the
User Configuration File or via a job launch
script takes precedence over the site-wide
cluster default.
This value is passed to the X Server when it
starts for a job.
This value can be overridden by the Display
Surface default, which is set using the Display
Surface Configuration tool.
SVA_TILE_GEOMETRY
Depending on the display hardware on your
cluster, use of the sva_chromium_dmx.sh
script in non-interactive mode may not start
all the tiles in a multi-tile display with the
correct resolutions.
When the value of this tag is set to “yes”, all
tiles have the same resolution.
SVA_FILL_DISPLAYS_ON_STARTUP
The number of display devices attached to the
display node. A value of 1 indicates one
display device. A value of 2 indicates two
display devices.
SVA_NUM_TILES
1
Display nodes only.
