HP SVA V2.0 Release Notes
scancel: error: Kill job error on job id 431.17: Invalid job id specified
• Solution
This message is harmless and you can ignore it.
The message is an artifact of how job cleanup is done. The cleanup script occasionally
tries to clean parts of the job that didn't start.
10. Environment Variables: path/ld_library_path Conflicts
• Impact
Low.
• Summary
The SVA software adds items to PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables
when the user logs in or starts a shell. If these values are over written, then the SVA
tools will not be able to start.
• Solution
Instead of replacing a PATH/LD_LIBRARY_PATH, you should append any new values
to existing values in the environment variables.
11. DMX: 4K x 4k Total Display Device Restriction
• Impact
Low.
• Summary
When used alone, DMX only supports multitile display devices that total 4Kx4K pixels.
• Solution
Use the Chromium-DMX script interactively as documented in the User's Guide.
12. RGS: Incomplete RGS Installation Inhibits RGS GUI During sva_remote.sh Sessions
• Impact
Medium.
• Summary
If all RGS Sender installation steps are not completed as described in the HP RGS User's
Guide, the RGS Sender GUI will not be present during SVA jobs started using the SVA
job launch script, sva_remote.sh. This impairs access to the remote session, making
collaboration among several remote clients difficult.
• Solution
Be sure to complete all of the steps outlined in the HP RGS User's Guide in the Linux
RGS Sender and Sender GUI Installation section. Of particular note is properly
configuring the RGS Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) module as described:
The Linux Sender uses the Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) for authentication.
Add the following PAM configuration information to the files /etc/pam.d/gdm,
/etc/pam.d/kde, and /etc/pam.d/xdm:
session optional pam_rg.so
