HP SVA V1.1 Patch Kit 3 Readme/Release Notes
Once a Display Surface is defined as stereo-capable, users can launch a visualization job on that
Display Surface as either a mono (the default) or a stereo display. See Section 3.1.1 for more
information on how to do this.
3.1.2.4.1 Create a Display Surface
When a system administrator creates a Display Surface using the Display Surface Configuration
tool, they define the stereo mode. This is the most likely scenario if you want to take advantage
of stereo support for your system.
The Display Surface Configuration tool now asks up to two additional questions:
• Does this Display Surface use stereo graphics?
• (If yes) What kind?
The following example shows the prompt sequence from the Display Surface Configuration tool.
The italics text represents what is new in the Display Surface Configuration Tool for Patch Kit

3.1.2.4.2 Change a Display Surface
The prompt sequence for the Display Surface Configuration Tool for Option 6 (Completely
redefine a Display Surface) first requests the name of the Display Surface that you want
to change. It then continues with the same prompt sequence described in Section 3.1.2.4.1.
3.1.3 More Information
SVA mostly provides a pass-through service to allow a user to trigger the NVIDIA card to work
with appropriate display hardware. You should consult the hardware manufacturer's
documentation to understand the properties of the display device. In addition, the user should
consult Appendix D of the NVIDIA User's Manual installed on every SVA cluster:
