HP Scalable Visualization Array Version 1.1 Visualization System Software Reference Guide
DescriptionVariable
svaAllocateJob sets this variable to the condensed host names
of the display hosts allocated to the job. This value is also stored
in the Job Settings File, SVA_JOB section, SVA_DISPLAY_HOSTS
tag. Do not modify this value.
SVA_Display_Hosts
This variable is initially set to null. However, if
SVA_DISPLAY_SURFACE is specified in the User Configuration
File, it is set by svaGetJobDefaults. It can also be set by the
command line argument -d in some script; for example,
sva_job_template.sh. This value is used to select display
resources in svaAllocateJob.
SVA_Display_Surface
This variable is initially set to null. However, if
SVA_EXECUTION_HOST is specified in the Site or User
Configuration File, it is set by svaGetJobDefaults. Normally
this value is set from the Display Surface properties; that is, one
of the display hosts that make up the allocated Display Surface.
If this variable is specified in the User Configuration File, the value
must be one of the display hosts allocated to the job.
This value is used to control where DMX and the user's application
master program start. Do not modify this value after the job is
allocated.
SVA_Execution_Host
This variable indicates whether the cluster has a KVM. 0 indicates
there is no KVM (default); 1 indicates there is a KVM.
SVA_KVM
This variable indicates the number of display devices attached to
the display node. 1 indicates one display device; 2 indicates two
display devices.
SVA_NUM_TILES
This variable is set to the value of SVA_PARTITION and is
prefixed with -p. It can also be set by the command line argument
-p in some script; for example, sva_job_template.sh.
This variable is used on all SLURM command lines to specify the
SLURM partition to use for allocating and running jobs.
SVA_Partition_Name
This variable indicates that the tiles attached to a single display
node are arranged horizontally (value equals .horizontal),
vertically (value equals .vertical), or in an
n x n
arrangement
of four tiles only (value equals .square). Set it to an empty string
if there is only one tile for the display node.
SVA_TILE_ORIENTATION
svaAllocateJob sets this variable to the sum of
SVA_Display_Count, SVA_Compute_Count, and
SVA_Render_Count. Do not modify this value.
SVA_Total_Count
This variable is initially set to null. However, if
SVA_TILE_GEOMETRY is specified in the User Configuration File,
it is set by svaGetJobDefaults.
This variable selects the display tile geometry when starting X
Servers on the display hosts; for example, 1024x768;
1280x1024; or 1600x1200.
SVA_Tile_Geometry
This variable turns the X cursor on or off on the display node. 0
sets the cursor to appear on nodes; 1 sets the cursor to not appear
on nodes.
SVA_UNCLUTTER
This variable is initially set to 0. It is set to 1 in
svaValidateOptions if inconsistencies are found in the job
options.
SVA_Usage_Error
This variable is initially set to 0. However, if
SVA_USE_DMX="yes" is specified in the Site or User
Configuration File, then SVA_Use_DMX is set to 1. It
enables/disables DMX on the execution host.
SVA_Use_DMX
svainit sets this variable value to 0. Set it to 1 to enable verbose
output.
SVA_Verbose_Flag
This variable is initially set to 15 seconds. It is used to set a sleep
period after starting the X Servers to give them a chance to start
up before continuing.
