• ERROR: Test and Ref files are different.(w/X.X dB of noise)

This means that although the image was generated, it was considered different than the reference

image.

• ERROR: Reference file (%s) doesn't exist

This means that the OVP doesn't have a reference file matching your Display Surface's resolution. The

test may have run correctly; but the OVP doesn't have a way of verifying the results.

The final summary shows status for each combination of Display Surface and tile geometry:

• PASSED

The image was generated and considered a match to the reference.

• FAILED

The image was either not generated or considered different than the reference.

• NOREF

The OVP does not have a reference image that matches the resolution.

The OVP does not test render nodes and requires at least one Display Surface to run.

Example

The following example is of the OVP used to test the SVA_DS_1_1, SVA_DS_1_2, SVA_DS_1_3 Display

Surfaces. Note that the image comparison noise is shown, even though the test passed. Also note that the

third test failed. In this case, that was because one of the nodes that make up the SVA_DS_1_3 Display

Surface was inoperative when the test ran.
