HP Scalable Visualization Array New Features and Release Notes Version 2.1.2

A new script, named sva_run_2, is available to start X servers on a display surface with
framelock control.
The svainit script has been enhanced to support gsync.
• Support and Launch Scripts for Avizo
A new script to launch the Avizo application in VR mode, sva_avizovr.sh, is included
along with a newly-implemented helper script named svaCreateAvizoConfig.pl.
Documentation for the launch and helper scripts are available in this release.
• New script to start a desktop
A new script named sva_local.sh, to start a new desktop is included in this release.
• SLI support in SVA scripts
Two new scripts are implemented in this release to provide SLI support in SVA; these scripts
are sva_local_sli.sh and sva_remote_sli.sh. They are extensions to sva_local.sh
and sva_remote.sh, respectively.
The sva_install_xconfig script will also be added to generate the xorg.1tile.sli.
This is needed to support the new scripts to support SLI.
• Xconfig.py changes
The xconfig.py script has enhancements, which enable support to add custom Screen
and Device sections to xorg configuration files. Using this one can add EDID options,
optional EDID files, and so on, to xorg.conf files.
• New modelines for the LP3065
New modelines were added for the LP3065 display device (30” display device from HP) to
support a resolution of 2560x1600.
• Support for the HP xw8600 workstation in SVA
The HP xw8600 workstation is supported on SVA 2.1.2. The HP xw8600 workstation has
been qualified with the nVidia Quadro FX5600 Graphics adapters.
NOTE: HP XC version 3.2 does not support the HP xw8600 workstation. To support the
HP xw8600 workstation on XC 3.2.1, please download and install patch
XCV3.2.1-X86_64-1000831332 from the following web address before installing this
SVA patch-kit:

• Support for HP ProLiant DL160 G5 servers with nVidia Quadro FX3700 and FX3500 graphics
adapters
The HP ProLiant DL160 G5 server is supported on SVA 2.1.2 along with the nVidia Quadro
FX3700 and FX3500 Graphics adapters.
HP XC version 3.2. does not support the ProLiant DL160 G5 server. Also, at the time of this
SVA release, HP XC version 3.2.1 does not support this server.
