Installing the Ultrium Back Magazine
To install the Ultrium back magazine, do the following:
1. Grasp the back magazine, making sure the open slots are facing the
front of the autoloader.
2. Carefully align the upper and lower tabs on the magazine against the
upper and lower metal tracks on the right side of the autoloader.
When aligned, the magazine will slide into place (see Figure 2-7 on
page 2-15).
3. While supporting the magazine, replace the T-15 screw to secure the
magazine in place (see Figure 2-6 on page 2-14).
4. Replace the side panel (see Figure 2-5 on page 2-13).
5. Re-install the standalone cosmetic cover(if necessary) (see “Removing
the Standalone Cosmetic Cover” on page 1-7).
InstallingtheUltriumDriveModule
To install the Ultrium drive module, do the following:
1. Hold the drive module handle while supporting the bottom of the
drive (see Figure 2-8 on page 2-17).
2. Install the drive module by inserting the rail at the top of the drive
module intothe slot at the top of the drivemodule opening.There will
be some resistance as the drive connector engages with the connector
on the autoloader.
3. After the module is in place, tighten the top and bottom thumbscrews
on the drive module, securing it in place.
4. Re-connect the drive SCSI cable(s) (see Figure 2-3 on page 2-11).
