Installing a Drive Module
WARNING It is not necessary to power off the library when inserting a
replacement drive module. However, to avoid injury, do not
insert your hand or foreign objects through the empty drive bay
and into the vertical lift assembly area.
1. Hold the drive module with one hand on the drive module handle
while the other hand supports the bottom (Figure 4-7).
2. Install the drive by inserting the rail at the top of the drive module
into the slot at the top of the drive module opening.
NOTE Higher force will be required in the last half-inch of insertion to engage
the electrical connection.
