Storage Management
Using Assigned Storage
Once Fibre Channel devices are assigned to an HP-UX host, they are ready to use. Storage
management utilities such as System Administration Manager (SAM) or VERITAS Volume
Manager should work normally on assigned SAN Manager LM devices.
Note Storage management utilities can access all SCSI disks, but can only access
Fibre Channel disks that have been assigned in the SAN Manager LM
administration application. SAN disks that are not assigned are not accessible.
