UPM Format
SAN Manager LM’s Universal Partition Map (UPM) format is not supported on HP-UX
hosts. If you try to assign any type of UPM partition to an HP-UX host, the following dialog
box appears:
If you click Yes to All or Yes, the following dialog box appears:
Click OK. If you want to assign this device to an HP-UX host, you must remove the UPM
from the device. For instructions, see the section “Erasing a UPM” in Chapter 5 of the
Administrator’s Guide.
Note You cannot erase the UPM on a device that contains an active database mirror
set partition. To erase the UPM on a database device, first remove the device
from the database.
