24 Uninstalling SAN Manager LM
Uninstalling SAN Manager LM
1. Run swremove.
2. In the list of software bundles, select SANManLM-CORE and SANManLM-DOC.
3. Choose Actions Mark for Remove.
4. Confirm that the correct bundles are selected.
5. Select Actions Remove (analysis).
6. If the remove analysis status says Ready, click OK to continue.
Note If the remove analysis does not return a Ready status, read the Logfile to
determine the cause of the failure.
7. When prompted to confirm the software removal, click Yes.
8. When the software removal is finished, click Done.
Note As an alternative to steps 1 through 8, you can uninstall SAN Manager LM in a
single step by using the following command:
swremove SANManLM-CORE SANManLM-DOC
9. If this host is being permanently removed from the SAN, complete the following steps:
a. On a Windows NT host, run the administration application. In SAN Manager LM’s
main window, right-click the icon of the host to be removed and choose Ping Host.
Since the host is no longer running the SAN Manager LM daemon, the host icon will
change into a missing host (gray) icon.
b. To remove the host from the SAN database, right-click the missing host icon and
choose Remove Host.
