Uninstalling SAN Manager LM 23
Installation
Uninstalling SAN Manager LM
Caution Do not uninstall SAN Manager LM from a host that will remain attached to the
SAN. If SAN Manager LM is not installed on all attached hosts, SAN Manager
LM’s exclusive storage assignments could be compromised.
Before Uninstalling SAN Manager LM from an HP-UX Host
1. Stop I/O to any assigned Fibre Channel devices.
2. Close any open files and applications on assigned SAN devices, and unmount the
devices.
3. In the administration application on a Windows NT host, unassign all devices that are
assigned to the HP-UX host.
Note If a host’s assigned devices are being controlled by storage management
software such as Logical Volume Manager (LVM) or VERITAS Volume Manager,
before you can unassign the devices, you must remove them from the control
of the storage management software.
4. If the host is in a share group, remove it from the share group.
5. If the host is being removed from the SAN, physically detach it from the SAN.
