Installation
Installing SAN Manager LM
Note
The instructions in this section are for installing SAN Manager LM on HP-UX
hosts with X Windows. For information on installing SAN Manager LM without
X Windows, see the man pages for swinstall.
1. On the host where you will install SAN Manager LM, log in as superuser.
Note
If you have HP OpenView Software Distributor, you can install the software
remotely. For more information, see your Software Distributor documentation.
2. Insert the SAN Manager LM CD-ROM in the CD drive.
3. Do one of the following:
– If you are installing from the local CD-ROM, skip to step 4.
– If you are installing from a CD-ROM on a remote machine, follow these steps:
a. Log in to the remote machine.
b. Mount the CD-ROM.
c. Use one of the following installation methods:
– Copy the bundles to an existing depot or create a new depot with the
following command:
swcopy -s /cdrom
depot location
– To install directly from the CD-ROM type
swreg -l depot /cdrom
d. Log in to the host where you will install SAN Manager LM.
